Rastriya Dalit Network celebrated its 25 years of establishment

Rastriya Dalit Network (RDN) Nepal which has been active in social justice and against caste discrimination, has celebrated its 25th anniversary. RDN, which has been active in the field of land rights and human rights, celebrated its 25th anniversary in Kailali on Thursday. The program, which was held under the chief guest of the Sudurpaschim Provincial Government's Internal Affairs and Law Minister Hira Sarki, also screened a documentary covering the work and contributions of the RDN so far. The chief guest, Law Minister Sarki, praised the role played by the network for achieving land rights, human rights and Dalit rights.
The founding chairperson of the network, Ganesh Bishwakarma, presented a summary of the creative role played by the network in pressuring the state through advocacy for long-term solutions to the multifaceted problems of the Dalit community. The program was held under the hospitality of Sudurpaschim Provincial Assembly members Laxmi B. K., Lalita Sunar and the network's advisor, educationist Dr. Hemraj Pant. The program was attended by people's representatives from various local levels, government agencies, founders of organizations, office bearers and members of the working committee, civil society, human rights activists and media personnel. The program honored various personalities who have contributed to the fields of land rights, human rights and Dalit rights.
